Katie Dray

I started at Downlands in August 2021 and have loved being an Animal Care Assistant so far. I particularly love the inpatient care and looking after all the cats and dogs we have in for surgeries or medical cases. My favourite place to work is on the cat and dog wards assisting the nurses and getting stuck in learning about the needs of medical cases. I love making patients more comfortable and ensuring their stay with us is as enjoyable as possible. As well as this, I also enjoy working on lab running blood samples for any poorly patients. 

In January 2023 I will be becoming part of the veterinary nursing team as I am beginning my nurse training at MYF. I'm so excited!

Outside of work I share a handsome horse called Aragorn who I have had for 3 years. I love horses and have been riding for over 15 years! I also have a family Whippet called Ruby, a hamster called Buck and two tortoises called Michelle and Shelby. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends, going to the gym and spending time with my animal babies!
