BUSINESSES in the Solent 250, Solent 100 and Southern Tech 100 network have pledged their support to local charity, The Rainbow Centre, and are calling on fellow members and other regional companies to do the same.
The charity, which is based in Fareham, is well known locally for its good work across the Solent region providing vital services to children and adults with Cerebral Palsy, MS, Parkinsons’ and those recovering from stroke and head injury.
The Rainbow Centre receives no statutory funding, therefore, it is essential that it builds a sustainable income stream. To enable this to occur, the charity has launched a corporate regular giving scheme called ‘The 100 Club’. The aim of the scheme is to develop a network of supporters who donate £100 per month. With enough corporate support for ‘The 100 Club’, the charity will be able to sustain half its required monthly running and service costs. As well as supporting a great cause, members of ‘The 100 Club’ will be eligible to attend exclusive networking events throughout the year. They will also receive prior notice of any events such as clay pigeon shoots, golf days within the Rainbow calendar. This years’ golf day will be held at the exclusive Cowdray Park in April. A regular donation through ‘The 100 Club’ would fall within the charitable tax giving bracket and therefore the company would be entitled to tax relief on the donation. ‘The 100 Club’ has already made a strong start at the beginning of The Rainbow Centre’s 25th anniversary year with new members joining and encouraging others to provide the same support. This will ensure that
‘The Rainbow Centre’ is here for another 25 years, providing their vital services to both children and adults. The newest members of ‘The 100 Club’ include:
- Hendy Group
- Paris Smith
- Premier Marinas
- Snows BMW and Mini
Other Members of ‘The 100 Club’ include:
- C & L Management LLP
- Professional Connection
- Downland Veterinary Group
- Portmore Insurance Brokers
- Hooper Services

It is imperative that this service continues to deliver and potentially expand to include an outreach service for both young and old.
