Director & Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2002, before undertaking an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the college's large referral hospital.  I then worked as an emergency critical care vet before joining Downland Vets in 2003.  I became a partner of Downland Vets in 2007.

My main interests are general surgery, orthopaedics and endoscopy.  I also run the exotics service at the Emsworth Surgery alongside David Vawer.

Outside of work I like to keep fit and after completing 3 marathons, now I've turned my attention to triathlon, which my three dogs help me train for!

Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified in South Africa at Onderstepoort in 1998 and have been working in the UK since 1999, more specifically at Downland Vets since January 2001.

During this time, I married and had two boys, now 6 and 3, and have acquired three lovely cats and more recently a hectic Vizsla.

I enjoy general practice, where my interests are especially soft tissue surgery and imaging.

Since having the boys, I have been working part time, enjoying the best of both work and home.

At home I enjoy running, looking forward to joining the Denmead Striders and hope to complete some more races this year.

Veterinary Surgeon
I qualified from Liverpool University in 1998 and worked in mixed practice in Oxfordshire for five years before travelling for six months in Africa with my wife Lindsay.  Since returning to the UK, I have worked in small animal practice.

I moved back to Hampshire, near to where I grew up, in 2008.  Working in Petersfield for 2 1/2 years before joining Downland Vets in April 2011 to help start up and run the new Denmead Surgery.

I have an interest in all things surgical, both soft tissue and orthopaedics, as well as dentistry and dermatology.

Out of work, our 6 year old daughter and 5 month old son keep us busy!

Deputy Head Nurse
I have been working at Downland Vets in Emsworth since 2007 and qualified in April 2009.  My main interests are nurse clinics, wound management, diet, behaviour and physiotherapy. 

At home I have two cats and an extremely naughty dog named Mango.

Veterinary Nurse
I trained at Sparsholt College whilst working for the Chichester branch of Downland Vets from 1998 and was head nurse there for 6 years.  I have spent the last 4 1/2 years at Sparsholt College as a verifier for the Veterinary Nurse Training Scheme.  

I now work part time for Downland Vets and have a keen interest in nurse clinics, behaviour and general pet care. 

I have a Labrador, two cats and two rabbits at home & am currently on maternity leave with my second child.

Veterinary Nurse
I trained at Harbour Vets in Portsmouth and qualified in January 2011. I have been working for Downland Vets since April 2011. I have a keen interest in behaviour and diet clinics.

At home I have a cat, Purdy, and a Cairn terrier called Tilly.

Receptionist
I joined Downland Vets in 2009 as an Animal Care Assistant for 18 months, and after a short time away I have rejoined, as part of the receptionist team.

Out of work I do Photography and Zumba. I enjoy taking off in my VW van, practicing surfing, and spending time at the beach with my two cheeky dogs Betty and Bowdi.

Receptionist
Prior to joining the team at Downland Vets, I attended South Downs College and the University of Reading, where I studied a wide variety of Animal Science subjects.  I am a qualified Marine Mammal Medic. I enjoy swimming and surfing, as well as photography.

I have owned many animals in the past, and currently have a puppy Peanut, two cats, a dwarf rabbit and a hamster.

Receptionist
I joined Downland Vets in June 2011, learning the ropes at Emsworth, ready for the opening of Denmead.  

Previously I have worked extensively with horses, which I stopped after my son was born.

At home I have two dogs, a lurcher and a collie.
