After qualifying from the RVC in 2001 I went straight into mixed practice in Horsham for four years. After this I spent 2 years travelling with a small amount of locuming to fund the plane tickets. I was lucky enough to spen 2 weeks with a Kenya Wildlife Service vet, treating wild elephants and rhinos, and I spent 2 weeks on Ithaca neutering stray cats.
I joined DVG in February 2009 after spending 2 weeks locuming at the Bognor Regis clinic. I provide free board and lodgings to two cats and in my spare time I enjoy running/travelling.

Head Veterinary Nurse

I started working at Downlands in 2001 as a student veterinary nurse. I qualified in 2004 and became an assessor of the student nurses in 2007. I am passionate about training the student nurses and put a lot of time into ensuring they are trained to a high standard.
I have two dogs: a chihuahua called Mia and a Jack Russell called Ralphie. I also have two cats called Magical and Miracle who came from the RSPCA and a one eyed hamster called Barney who seems to live forever!

Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 after training at MYF in Aldershot. I have been working at the Chichester clinic since February 2002 where I am currently Deputy Head Nurse.
I have a keen interest in animal behaviour and have recently completed additonal training in dermatology.
My lively weimeraner "Ruby", keeps me busy enjoying long walks in all weathers!

I joined the Downland team at Chichester in February 2011 as a student veterinary nurse. I have recently completed an evening course at South Downs College in Animal Management and am very much looking forward to starting my nurse training.

At home I have three cats, Mini, Razzie and Smudge.
I have a keen interest in animal behaviour and would like to further my knowledge of surgery.

Prior to working at Downland Veterinary Group I worked for five years at a Donkey sanctuary in Surrey, whilst helping on my parents farm in my spare time!
I then went on to work at Paignton Zoo in Devon where I worked as a primate keeper for two years and gained an Advanced National Certificate in zoo animal management.
I started at Downland Veterinary Group in 2009 and hope to qualify as a Veterinary Nurse in early 2012. I have three beautiful donkeys who live on my parents farm.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I joined Downlands in January 2010 after a week of work experience whilst I was studying for the VN degree in Winchester. I switched boats to MYF training in Aldershot and have never looked back!
I have a keen interest in surgical nursing and anaesthesia, and hope to expand my skills. I am from North Yorkshire, live in Portsmouth, am a Royal Navy wife, and I fill my time looking after my angry feline, walking my whippets and being a musician.

Receptionist

I joined Downlands in November 2009 working afternoons as a receptionist.
I own three cocker spaniels called Penny, Seven and Fiver, and also adopted a cat called Sooty who was brought in as a stray and now rules the household.
I also have two horses: Duke, a welsh cob and Sapphire, a yearling filly who we hope to show at the County level and one day even make it to the Horse of the Year Show!

Receptionist

I have been a receptionist at Downlands since December 2007. Since then I've managed to acquire a third cat to add to my collection! My cats are called Harmony, Melody and Ana (the newest and occasionally a naughty tortie!)
Being a receptionist is extremely interesting and very rewarding. Downlands is a very friendly place to work,  and we all love the unconditional love that animals give us.

Receptionist

I joined DVG in October 2001. I work as part of the reception team and have enjoyed getting to know lots of the clients over the years. I am very interested in canine behaviour, and would like to learn more about this topic.
I have two rescue dogs: Homer and Maggie.

I have also had a horse called Connor for 10 years who I keep in Slindon, and often compete locally at weekends which keeps me very busy!

Receptionist

I have worked at Downland Veterinary Group for ten years, initially at the Bognor Regis and Barnham clinics, before moving to the Chichester branch in 2005.

I love meeting all the clients and seeing their pets, and find it to be a very rewarding job.
